Job Profile: Sr. Project Manager, Land Development

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • Project Management/Leadership, including final oversight of initial project scope and project proposal for large scale, complex projects
  • Staff/resource planning and utilization, guidance for project
  • Production/execution, engaging with in-house counsel for negotiation of contact language, provide expert testimony at public hearings/community meetings
  • Client Management, including conducting and participating in client meetings
  • Financial Management, including responsibility for financial results and profitability on projects,
  • Executing contact/change orders for large scale, complex projects, monitoring project P&Ls for all Projects under supervision, monitoring collection of A/Rs
  • Staff Experience and Development, including mentoring and coaching staff, conducting year-end bonus evaluations, sourcing and developing candidates through coordination with Talent Acquisition, management and oversight of Project Managers and staff
  • Business Development, including attending network functions, business dinners/events, cross-marketing with other Bohler offices, expanding existing clients, and developing new clients
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education:

Bachelors Civil Engineering or related engineering fields and/or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

  • 15+ years of residential and/or commercial/industrial site design and jurisdictional permitting experience
  • 7+ years in a staff management capacity Skills
  • Experience in civil/site design including concept site layout, subdivision design, zoning research and analysis, extensive knowledge of site grading, storm water management design, utility design, regulatory permitting experience, project management capabilities, good delegation skills
  • Experience with making public presentations and client management
  • Proposal preparation, budget tracking and forecasting workloads and staff development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage many projects at the same time Licenses and

Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred

Base Salary: 145K 185K (DOE) w/ full benefit package and strong EOY Bonus Potential
